A Little Bit About Me…

I was born in a coastal town in Southeast India and I moved to the United States just before I turned five, living for a bit in New Mexico before taking up residence in Santa Cruz, California where I lived until I graduated with a Double Bachelors in Biology and Environmental Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz. I moved back to New Mexico in 1998 to pursue a doctoral degree in Ornithology at the University of New Mexico. I now live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my husband and two children. I try to spend more time outdoors than indoors, discover as much as I can about New Mexico and its wild plants and animals, paint whenever I can, and never stop exploring.
